Volunteer work

During my third year in college I volunteered at our local police precinct trauma center where I contacted victims of various different crimes to follow up on whether they were interested in free counseling. At the center we provided free counseling, clothes, essentials and a place to stay for victims of domestic violence.

During my postgraduate year I participated in a community project where we identified areas needing improvement at a preschool in a disadvantaged community. We upgraded the security by adding fencing, provided extra and safer play grounds, painted jungle gyms and the entire school, inside and outside. We also raised money through sponsorships and raffles. In addition, we also provided new preschool equipment. We received recognition for our hard work and contribution.
